I don’t know about you, but December always brings mixed feelings. I enjoy all of the Christmas buildup along with my kids, but the older I get, the more melancholy memories crop up at this time of year. This year my daughter is old enough to watch White Christmas with me and get the underlying jokes and ask about some of the references in the film. Watching this movie again is fun in a new way. We are also having a blast checking out some of the new holiday films together–finally they don’t have to be cartoons or animated shows. I like celebrating the holidays with little kids, but I am truly loving having older kids now to share in the joy.
No matter how you feel about December days and nights, I hope you enjoy some fun and tasty holiday treats!

Wrap Up
2023 has come to an end and Sam and I didn’t quite accomplish all we’d hoped on the writing front. However, we did spend a lot of time with our parents this last year making memories that we’ll cherish for years and years.
Maybe 2024 will be more prolific on the writing front for us and on the reading front for you.
