Happy 2015! I hope you win the lottery this year or at least come across a shiny quarter just waiting to be picked up and pocketed.
Get out your purple cigars because I have a new book coming out on January 30, 2015 called LOOK WHAT THE WIND BLEW IN. Yee haw! This is the first in the new Dig Site Mystery series and stars Violet Parker’s brother, Quint Parker.
A headstrong and determined archaeologist.
A tall, dark, and unwelcome photojournalist.
Both are trying to unearth secrets that have been long buried, but an ancient Maya curse threatens to destroy them … unless they can learn to trust each other enough to make it out of the jungle alive.

Here’s a link to a YouTube video that explains how I came up with this storyline. Ann Charles Look Video
You can find your book store of choice on this page: Look What the Wind Blew In
In addition, I am having a contest for the first 100 verified purchasers of my new book—the “winners” will receive an Ann Charles bumper magnet. To enter this First 100 contest, all you have to do is forward your ebook receipt (usually sent via email) showing your purchase at any of the online ebook vendors where you usually buy your ebooks (Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Kobo, or Apple) to reader@anncharles.com. Please include your name and mailing address and put LOOK PURCHASE in the subject line.
In addition to the First 100 contest, I have a special surprise after “El Fin … for now” of LOOK WHAT THE WIND BLEW IN. This contest is not limited to the first few who see it, so the rush is not as great. I’ll be running the contest throughout the year and have more fun stuff for the winners of this special El Fin contest. To find out more, look for the instructions and corresponding link after “El Fin … for now” and before the illustration by C.S. Kunkle on the last page of the story.
When it comes to hitting the keys, my goal for 2015 is to write and publish two more books before the year is out:
I’m shooting to have the 6th Deadwood book out this summer and the 4th Jackrabbit book out late this fall. Cross your fingers that my right brain doesn’t get all uppity and decide to buck my left brains plans.
Here we are at the start of another year and I want to thank you for all your support. I love that I can focus on writing books this year instead of trying to please a boss (something I was really challenged with over the years). Now I can put all of my energy into pleasing you instead … wait, does that mean I have a lot of bosses? Oh no, what have I done? Ha ha ha.
Seriously, thank you. I really appreciate the time you spend reading my books. For those of you who tell others about my books and help me find new readers, you deserve a vacation to your dream destination! If I were Bill Gates, I’d make that vacation come true. 🙂
♥ Ann
