I’m turning 50 this month!
Holy wrinkly knees! I can’t believe I’ve scratched and clawed my way through 50 years on this planet. I think I want to take a full month to celebrate this milestone. Maybe two. Hell, let’s just keep the good times rolling through to the end of the year.
Other than growing numerically older, our kids have returned to school–high school now … wow! It’s exciting to see them take classes like theatre production and German and more. They are finally allowed to spread their wings a little and try new things, excitedly sharing what happened at school each day when we pick them up. The world is their oyster. As I continue on this marathon of life, it’s fun to have some new blood running next to me, eager to see what the world has to offer. Better yet, they’ve finally reached an age where we can scare them in the dark without messing up their heads too much. LOL! (Kidding … sort of.)
Oh, and we have a new little boy kitty that we picked up from a farm near Boise, Idaho while traveling this summer. Loki the Trickster is now here with us and having fun with Peanut, my daughter’s cat.
So, what’s new on the writing front?
It’s Christmas time in Jackrabbit Junction, Arizona, and the Morgan sisters’ father is in town. I wonder what sort of dust devils he’ll stir up along with his wild and somewhat unruly daughters. Stay tuned for a Jackrabbit Christmas novella and more in that series and the Deadwood Undertaker series.

2022 Deadwood Fan Party News!
For those of you thinking about coming to my 2022 Deadwood Fan Party Weekend, we are in the process of setting up times and dates and details. At this time, we are planning to move the fan party to EARLY OCTOBER 2022 due to hotel costs and room availability during the busy summer tourist season in Deadwood. As soon as our kids’ school puts out their 2022 Fall break schedule, we’ll have dates. Stay tuned for more information.

| Wrap Up Jackrabbit Junction Mystery Series … Now that Violet’s 12th book is finished, I have an idea for a fun Christmas novella staring the Jackrabbit Junction crew that I’m currently calling JACKRABBIT JINGLE BALLS. If all goes as planned, this novella will be available as an ebook, print book, and audiobook for Christmas. I also plan to write the next full-length story (Book 6) in the Jackrabbit series. Stay tuned for more on this as I hit the keys this month and work on getting these stories on the road. Dig Site Series … There will be more books in this series, I promise. I’ve been watching a lot of shows on the Maya people and history, soaking it all up, daydreaming about what might happen next down in Mexico. I hope to finally be able to fit the 3rd Dig Site book into my schedule after I take a break from Jackrabbit Junction. Deadwood Undertaker Series … Sam Lucky and I are working on Book 4, THE BACKSIDE OF HADES. Life has slowed us up a little, but we’re still plowing forward. Stay tuned for more release date estimates this summer/fall.
